Investment and new interface for the popular ERP: OpenERP

The Sofinnova Partners company has just invested 3 million euros in Open ERP, the popular and throwing ERP of the market. These new funds will help to develop the software, to establish a global network of partners and to extend the maintenance offers and SaaS solutions.

Founded in 2005 by Fabien Pinckaers, the company popularity has quickly increased thanks to a community of over 300 members and an integrators network settled in 26 countries. OpenERP software consists of over 500 modules and handles accounting, invoicing, customer relationship management, project management, monitoring of stocks…

According to Mr Pinckaers, OpenERP strategy is based on a unique ecosystem that combines the resources of the community, its partner network and the publisher. Indeed the community improves the content of the Open ERP solution. The partners customize the solution according to the client needs and provide also support for customers. Finally, the editor ensures the quality and sustainability of the software on the long term.

Lastly, Mr Pinckaers has shared with us via his blog, a preview of the new Open ERP interface. First observation, we do not see radical change, but the graphics, while remaining sober and professional, becomes more attractiveness and ergonomic. If graphics can not ensure the quality of an ERP, its ergonomics can really give a plus. Indeed an adapted ergonomy will guarantee the customers loyalty, an improvement of the performance and so profits. What else for an ERP?
